About Nuve
What does Nuve do?
Nuve is your outsourced finance team. We deliver bookkeeping, tax, and CFO advisory as one integrated engagement — with one team, one invoice, and no handoffs. Instead of juggling a separate bookkeeper and CPA who never talk to each other, you get one team that knows your entire financial picture.
Who is Nuve built for?
Growth-minded business owners doing $1M+ in revenue — primarily in restoration, trades, and service industries. Our ideal client is someone whose finances have gotten complex enough that a freelance bookkeeper isn't cutting it, but hiring a full-time CFO doesn't make sense yet. If your bookkeeper and CPA aren't coordinating and you're making decisions without reliable data, we built Nuve for you.
Is Nuve a CPA firm?
Nuve is a CPA-led outsourced financial services firm. Our founder, Jhonatan Aldama, is a licensed CPA who oversees every engagement. We deliver bookkeeping, tax preparation, and CFO advisory — but we are not a public firm in the traditional sense. The CPA credential is in the room, not down the hall.
Where is Nuve based? Do you work with clients outside Texas?
We're based in Austin, TX and serve clients nationwide. Everything we do is delivered fully remotely — video calls, cloud-based tools, real-time dashboards. Geography is not a limitation.
Services & How It Works
Do I have to sign up for all three services (bookkeeping, tax, CFO)?
No. Most clients start with bookkeeping and tax, then grow into CFO advisory as their business scales. We offer a clear path from foundation to full advisory — but you start where it makes sense for you. Every touchpoint is designed to show you where additional support adds real value.
What tools and software does Nuve use?
We use a modern, cloud-based stack: QuickBooks Online for books, Dext for receipt capture, Gusto for payroll, Karbon for workflow management, Fathom for reporting and KPIs, and Ignition for engagement management. Everything is designed for real-time visibility and seamless collaboration — no desktop software, no paper shuffling.
How quickly do you close books each month?
We close books within 15 business days of month-end, every month. That's our standard — not a stretch goal. You'll know where your cash stands before it becomes a problem.
How is Nuve different from my current bookkeeper or CPA?
Most business owners have a bookkeeper who records transactions and a CPA who calls once a year. Two people managing two halves of the same financial picture — and neither one is telling you what the numbers mean for your business. Nuve replaces both with one integrated team that handles books, tax, and advisory together. We don't just look backward at what happened — we look forward and tell you what's coming.
What does onboarding look like?
After you sign, we implement your financial systems, connect your tools, set up workflows, and guide you and your team through a smooth transition. Our goal is go-live within 30 days. We handle the heavy lifting — you don't need to manage the migration.
Pricing & Contracts
How much does Nuve cost?
Pricing is fixed monthly — no hourly surprises, no scope creep. Engagements typically range from $750/month for bookkeeping and tax to $2,500+/month for the full bundle including CFO advisory. The exact price depends on your business's complexity, transaction volume, and service needs. We'll give you a clear number on our discovery call — no hidden fees.
Are there long-term contracts?
No. No annual contracts. No lock-in. If you ever stop experiencing clarity, consistency, and value — cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. No penalties. No friction. We want you to stay because it works, not because you're trapped.
Why is Nuve more expensive than my current bookkeeper?
Because we're not just a bookkeeper. A freelance bookkeeper records transactions — that's it. No tax strategy, no cash flow forecasting, no advisory, no proactive communication. With Nuve, you get a full financial team: books, tax, and strategic guidance in one engagement. The gap between what you're paying now and what we charge is smaller than the gap between what you're losing without visibility and what you could be making with the right financial picture.
Industry & Specialization
Does Nuve only work with restoration companies?
Restoration and trades are our primary focus — water damage, fire, mold, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general contractors. But we also serve growth-minded service businesses. The common thread is financial complexity: businesses where a freelance bookkeeper isn't enough and the owner is making real decisions without reliable data.
Does Nuve understand Xactimate, insurance AR, and TPA billing?
Yes. This is exactly why we specialize. Most financial firms have never heard of Xactimate. They don't understand TPA billing cycles, insurance receivable aging, supplement tracking, or crew payroll for field teams. We do — because restoration and trades businesses are our focus, not an afterthought.
Can Nuve help with job costing?
Absolutely. Knowing which jobs made money and which ones you did for free is one of the most important things we help restoration and trades owners understand. We set up job-level tracking so you can see gross margin per project — not just total revenue.
Getting Started
What is a Financial Clarity Call?
It's a free 30-minute consultation where we learn about your business, review your current financial setup, identify the top 2–3 gaps, and tell you exactly what Nuve would change. It's not a sales call — it's a genuine consultation. You'll walk away with something valuable whether you work with us or not.
What do I need to prepare before the call?
Nothing specific is required. If you can come with a rough idea of your annual revenue, who currently handles your books and taxes, and what frustrates you most about your current setup — that helps us make the most of the time. But if you show up with nothing prepared, that's fine too.
How long does it take to switch from my current setup?
Most transitions are complete within 30 days. We handle the heavy lifting — connecting tools, migrating data, setting up workflows. You don't need to manage the switch. And because there are no annual contracts, you're never locked in with us or trapped leaving your current setup.
